Fionnuala Mendham

Finally all my fundraising (a total of £5100) is complete! Yiippee! And I’m now all set to go on the 11th September. Check out my Blog! to keep you all up to date with the exciting happenings of the sleepy rural village of Annaikatty where I will be living for the next 12 months.

Hi, my name is Fionnuala Mendham. I am 17 and I have just finished my final year at Balfron High School. I will be going to Uni to study Law and European Legal Studies at The University of Aberdeen. However, before that I have chosen to spend a year in India with leading Gap Year Charity Project Trust.

After a rigorous selection process, I have been chosen by the charity Project Trust to take part in a volunteering project in Southern India for a year. During my year I will be teaching English in Vidya Vanam Primary School for underprivileged rural and tribal children, as well as running a wide range of extra curricular activities and after school clubs.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this website.  Project Trust has been a goal of mine for a long time and I am so excited to finally be preparing to go away with them and make my contribution to a community less fortunate than our own.
